Review: Nivea Express Hydration Primer

♥ Hey guys!

Today, we've decided to write a review of a product we've both been loving recently. A few months ago, we saw a television commercial advertising a new (ish) product by Nivea. It's called 'Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer' - what a mouthful! It's basically a mixture of a moisturiser and a primer; something we've never ventured out into buying!

This little pot of joy really is something! We'd normally use our moisturisers and primers completely separate for different reasons; a moisturiser to hydrate and, of course, moisturise our skin, and our primers to smooth out our face and prepare it for make-up application. However, this two-in-one time saver does both the jobs for us, taking up only half the time we'd normally use to apply the two different products separately. It can be worn under foundation as a base for make-up, or just on it's own for a quick fix of the skin.

The primer is silicone based; which means it creates a smooth layer over the top of the skin, locking in moisture & keeping your skin hydrated and soft all day. However, unlike your typical primer, it doesn't leave a rubbery finish to your face. The consistency is almost gel-like - it's suuuper cooling and hydrating, and it sinks into the skin almost instantly without leaving that wet, sticky feeling like many moisturisers do.

Overall, we both think that this is an amaaaazing product. It's great for girls-on-the-go as it's a two in one product, saving precious time in the mornings. It made our foundation stay on fantastically without caking towards the end of the day. For the retailed price of £4.99 we think it's an absolute steal! We'd definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone, we've been non-stop raving about it since we got our hands on it & will be sure to re purchase when we've finished this tub (which may be in the distant future as a tiny amount of product goes a loooong way!)

Furthermore, if this product couldn't get any better, there's also a second version which is specifically aimed at people who suffer with dry & sensitive skin, so it's pretty much a product for everyone!

Thank you for reading our very first review, we hope you found it helpful/interesting and would love to hear your opinions on Nivea's Everyday Essentials Express Hydration Primer, so don't hesitate to leave us a comment below!

  8. I used this when it first came out and I used it all up but for me using a primer separately always works better.
